Strickler v. Greene

Holding used

A true Brady violation requires favorable evidence, willful or inadvertent suppression, and prejudice; favorable evidence includes exculpatory and impeachment material.

Material limitation

The Court concluded that the petitioner had not proved the necessary prejudice on the complete record. The case does not make every failure to disclose favorable evidence a completed constitutional violation.
