# U.S.S.G. § 1B1.13 (2025)

## Propositions supported

Current compassionate-release categories, no-danger rule, rehabilitation rule, printed legal-change provisions, and the distinction between eligibility and extent of reduction.

## Material limitation

After *Rutherford*, § 1B1.13(b)(6) cannot create eligibility from a sentencing disparity produced by Congress's choice not to make an amendment retroactive. Later controlling law must be checked before relying on § 1B1.13(c).
