Red Barn Painting was founded by Abel Espinoza, who has been painting professionally since he was 18 years old.
Abel started out handling every job himself — estimating, repairs and painting. Today Red Barn has a full team of painters and project managers serving homeowners and businesses across Topeka, Manhattan, Lawrence, Holton and beyond.
We treat every customer the same, whether it's a single bedroom or a full commercial repaint. We listen first, communicate openly, and use what we learn to deliver results you'll love. That's why most of our new customers come from word of mouth.

Why are old barns red?
Generations ago, farmers mixed their own sealers from linseed oil, milk, lime — and rust. The rust protected the wood from fungi and moss and turned the mix a deep red. When store-bought paint arrived, red stayed, out of respect for tradition.
We named our company after that idea: practical, protective work that's made to last and looks good doing it.
