Choosing your stain
Solid stains give the most protection; clear stains show the most wood grain. Semi-transparent is a great middle ground and comes in a wide range of colors. Higher-quality stain costs a little more up front but means you won't be redoing the fence as soon.
Prep and application
Cleaning and brightening helps stain soak in and last longer, and removes the gray look of weathered wood. For application, hand-brushing works stain into every pore for the longest life; spraying is faster and more budget-friendly on very long fences. We'll walk you through the trade-offs honestly.
